Volunteering can be a fun and rewarding way to get to
know your fellow dancers while learning the various skills and knowledge
necessary to organize, plan, publicize and manage a dance event.
-
Dance Manager - without someone to manage the dances, they will cease to occur.
Duties include arriving early to open the venue, turn on the lights,
set up chairs and tables, set out flyers and sign-in sheets, set up the cash
box, collect admission fees and membership dues as people arrive, make
announcements after the break, calculate fees to be paid to talent, make
these payments,
and after the dance is over, clean up, put away the chairs, turn off the
lights and lock up the building. Bringing snacks for dancers to eat during
break is optional since the events are snack potlucks.

of our events
for inclusion in their events calendars.
A checklist is available for volunteers' use.

venues in the area
- Equipment Storage Provider - allocate and reserve a three by three
foot clean, dry and easily-accessible closet or garage area in town for storing
